SAN FRANCISCO DETAILS // SEPTEMBER 2021

March 04, 2023

Every city hides little details. Details that when taken as a whole creates a unique vibe. This is my attempt at documenting the details that make San Francisco.

A potted plant sits haphazardly in a small planted area between two old houses.
A dried yellow bush sits precariously in a teal concrete planter. The planter is set against a painted blue brick wall.
Two sections of brick exterior but up against each other. One is natural tan and the other is painted teal.
A white wooden stairway rail with a green leaved bush.
A succulent bush sits in front of an entry way. The house exterior is tan with a blue fenced door.
Black tiled steps lead to a red fenced door.
A tightly placed group of four ornate columns hold up one side of a porch overhang.
A lower level window is closed off with brick. The white painted wooden window frame is still visible.
A small wooden door is set into a stucco wall. Green leafy vines spill out from the bottom edge of the door.
Bay windows jut from brightly colored pink and teal homes.
Windows repeat on the facade of a white stucco building. Each window frame is painted in different bright colors.
A post of unknown use stands in front of a stucco wall striped with teal, red and yellow paint.
Classic Victorian bay windows create angled textures.
A locked yellow grate is closed in front of a bright orange door.
Metal mesh protects a long broken window. At one point, the window was repaired with random pieces of wood.
Spanish tiles grace a terra cotta staircase.
Blue and teal steps spill down to the sidewalk.
